The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh continue to be the WWE World Tag Team Champions for more than 150 days but have only defended the gold a couple of times on television. Due to this, their time as champions may soon be coming to an end soon.
In June this year, Liv Morgan helped Finn Balor and JD McDonagh become the new World Tag Team Champions by dethroning Awesome Truth. Since then, The Judgment Day duo has only defended the titles twice, against The New Day and The War Raiders. Now that Finn Balor is aiming for Gunther’s World Heavyweight Championship, it may be time for the group to lose a bit of gold.
For this list, we will look at three WWE teams who can dethrone The Judgment Day.
#3. The Judgment Day can meet The Final Testament’s former champions
Aside from The Judgment Day, another stable making rounds in the Stamford-based promotion lately is The Final Testament, especially now that they are feuding with The Wyatt Sicks. Once Karrion Kross’ group can prove themselves against Uncle Howdy, he can suggest to Authors of Pain to move to bigger things.
The former NXT and RAW Tag Team Champions getting the gold will cement the group as the new top stars of the roster, especially if Finn is moving on to the World Championship picture. It will also give The Final Testament much more legitimacy and validate that Karrion’s “teachings” do work.
#2. The New Day’s new lineup can be lethal on WWE RAW
On this week’s WWE RAW, after months of tension, the future of The New Day has finally been decided. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have decided to kick out Big E and continue as a duo from now on, and the new look of the group can be beneficial for them.
A heel New Day is something that fans haven’t seen in a while, which is even giving out a more serious and fierce look for the superstars involved. After playing it safe for the past few months, they can finally not hold anything back, especially if it involves the World Tag Team Championship.
#1. The Judgment Day can run it back with The War Raiders
The War Raiders returned to WWE with much excitement from fans and many expected them to dethrone Finn Balor and JD McDonagh when they fought last month, but the champions retained their title after some help from the rest of The Judgment Day. However, the company may be building them up for an eventual rematch.
Erik and Ivar may be feuding with other teams first to further prove themselves to be worthy of a title shot and cement themselves into a legitimate duo. The next time they face the champions, the results may be different.
