Where was WandaVision filmed? All filming locations explored

WandaVision, a nine-episode miniseries created by Jac Schaeffer, stars Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen as Vision and Scarlet Witch. Set after Avengers: Endgame, the story follows Wanda as she copes with Vision’s death. In her grief, she casts a Hex on Westview, creating an alternate reality where Vision is still alive, and her life unfolds like a classic sitcom with the townspeople unknowingly playing along.

There is actually a town of Westview in New Jersey, United States. But the Westview portrayed in WandaVision shares stark contrast, to the one in real life. In order to create Wanda’s idealistic small-town, WandaVision was shot around multiple locations in the United States. The primary shooting of the series spanned across Geogrie, California, and Florida.


WandaVision : All shooting locations explored

1) Warner Bros. Ranch Facilities, Burbank, California

The neighborhood that is shown around Wanda and Vision’s house at the beginning of the series, is actually Blondie St. located on the Warner Bros. Ranch, in Burbank Georgia. The exterior part of the couple’s house is one of the prop buildings used on this set.

This has been a popular location for the shooting of many films including Superman, Bewitched, American Beauty, Captain Midnight, and Young Sheldon.


2) Trilith Studios, Atlanta, Georgie

This interior space of Wanda and Vision’s house where they live with their two twins, was shot in Pinewood Atlanta Studios, currently known as Trilith Studios. This place has been used in several Marvel movies including Black Panther, Ant-Man, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Avengers: Infinity War, and even the spin-offAll Along Agatha.


3) Fayetteville, Georgia

The iconic Westboard signboard in the series, from where Wanda initiates her Hex, is shot in Fayette, Georgia. Located right across the Trilith Studios, the only actual element is the location is only the road. All the houses on the background are created digitally, to provide the classic small-town ambiance.


4) Golden Oak Ranch, Santa Clarita, California

In episode 2 of WandaVision titled “Don’t Touch That Dial”, the viewers are introduced to Downtown of Westview, where the talent show scene happens. This is shot in the Golden Oak Ranch, which is owned by The Walt Disney Company. Outside of Blondie St., most of the scenes around the town take place in this location. The Westview Public Library is also a prop, located at the Urban Background District in the ranch.

This ranch has been used as a set for a number of popular films including Back to the Future, Pete’s Dragon, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Behind the Candelabra, The Cat from Outer Space, Parks and Recreation, Westworld, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.


5) Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, Florida

The aerial view of the S.W.O.R.D. headquarters shown in episode 4 titled We Interrupt This Program is actually a CGI version of the Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39 A. Located near Titusville on Merrit Island, Florida, since 2014, this launch site has been used by Space X.


6) Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, Georgia

In the same episode, the interior lobby of the S.W.O.R.D. Headquarters is shown. The shots of the insides are taken in the Georgia World Congress Center, located in Atlanta, Georgia. This is the place where Wanda arrives to claim the body of her dead husband but is denied, which leads her to go rampant. This place is the third-largest convention center in the entire United States.


7) Bouckaert Farm, Fairburn, Georgia

The temporary S.W.O.R.D. retreat, which is portrayed as 8 miles outside of Westview, is shot in Bouckaert Farm in Fairburn Georgia. Covered with its natural landscape, this camping site has also served as Tony Stark’s cabin in the MCU. The place served as the iconic location where Tony was given a funeral in Avengers: Endgame.


8) Meadow View, Williamson, Georgia

Outside of Wanda and Vision’s house filmed on the sets of Blondie St., the viewers also get a sneak of other residential areas on the night of Halloween. In WandaVision, Episode 6 titled “All-New Halloween Spooktacular”, Wanda is seen walking through the gloomy streets of Westview.

The shooting of these streets spanned across Highpoint Court and Rolling Hill Dr. in Williamson, Georgia. Located in Pike County, this place was scarcely populated with just over a total of 680 people according to the 2020 census.
