Tyson Kidd, a WWE producer, has put to rest the rumors of his potential return to the wrestling ring. Despite recent footage of increased gym activity, Kidd clarified in an interview with McGuire On Wrestling that his wrestling career is over. Kidd, who has not competed in eight years due to a severe neck injury, stated that his increased gym activity is a substitute for the physical outlet wrestling provided him for nearly two decades.

Kidd was clear in his statement that he will not return as an active wrestler. He pointed out that his injury is unique, affecting the first two discs in his neck, unlike the more common C5 and C6 injuries seen in other wrestlers.

“Yeah. It’s so funny, I answer this all the time and then people don’t believe it, and I understand why. We’ve seen so many other people say that they’re retired or whatever and they come back, and that’s great, that’s cool. It’s not in the cards for me. I have a different injury than most people.”

Kidd’s career-ending injury occurred during a WWE RAW dark match in 2015, following Samoa Joe’s Muscle Buster finisher. Since then, Kidd has transitioned to a producer role for WWE, contributing his experience and knowledge behind the scenes.

While fans may still hope for a comeback, Kidd’s definitive statement about his retirement from in-ring competition indicates his focus remains on his role as a producer and contributing to WWE in a different capacity.
