153-day WWE title reign officially ends on SmackDown; new champion crowned

A new champion was crowned on the latest episode of SmackDown. Tiffany Stratton is officially the WWE Women’s Champion.

The Buff Barbie Doll won the Women’s Money in the Bank contract last year, and after months and months of teasing, she finally decided to cash it in. She had several cash-in attempts last year, as she tried to cash in on her friend and tag team partner Nia Jax on multiple occasions.

However, The Irresistible Force caught her most of the time, forcing Tiffany Stratton to change her mind. Nia even tried to convince her to cash in on Liv Morgan instead. When Candice LeRae joined the scene, Stratton felt left out. Nia and Candice even teamed up together to challenge Bianca Belair and Naomi for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

On the latest episode of SmackDown, The Irresistible Force defended the WWE Women’s Championship against Naomi. Tiffany Stratton showed up and teased cashing in again, but she attacked Naomi with the briefcase instead and helped Nia Jax retain.

However, there was a big twist after the match. The Buff Barbie Doll attacked Nia Jax with the briefcase as well and she finally cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on SmackDown to become the new WWE Women’s Champion, ending Nia Jax’s reign at 153 days.
