CM Punk is considered a WWE megastar. He is now preparing for a blockbuster match against Seth Rollins on the RAW premiere on Netflix this Monday, January 6.
Off the ring, The Best in the World married former WWE star AJ Lee, having tied the knot in 2014. However, the former Divas Champion wasn’t the only one CM Punk used to date during his time with the company.
With that in mind, we take a look at three former Divas Champions that the RAW superstar used to date before getting married to AJ Lee.
Neither superstar ever confirmed this relationship or talked about it in public. Reports suggested Punk and Kelly Kelly were dating in ECW (2006-2008).
They also had a storyline in which Kelly developed a liking for Punk, irritating her on-screen boyfriend, Mike Knox. However, their rumored relationship ended after Kelly Kelly moved to the main roster. They were spotted several times together. Kelly’s real-life husband, Sheldon Souray, is very close to Punk. The former Divas Champion revealed a hilarious story during one of her interviews.
“They had a bet that if Chicago wins [the Stanley Cup], then Shel has to get [Punk’s] name tattooed on him and then if Sheldon won, then Punk has to get Shel’s name on him, so Punk ended up winning and now Sheldon has to get a CM Punk tattoo on him,” Blank said. “That’s going to be very funny to see when that’s all done.” [H/T Wrestling Inc]
She stayed with WWE through 2012, while The Best in the World left the company in 2014 before returning nearly a decade later.
It has been over two decades since CM Punk reportedly dated WWE legend Mickie James. Based on reports, they had a brief relationship in 2003, when both were members of TNA.
However, Mickie or Punk have not confirmed this relationship. In the same year, James moved to WWE and became a legend in the Women’s Division.
Punk joined WWE in 2005 and stayed there until early 2014. In the latter part of his first stint with the company, he met AJ Lee, and the two became a couple and married after the former’s WWE departure.
Mickie James is married to SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, so it wouldn’t be surprising if she returned to the company for one final run.
