3 mistakes AEW MUST avoid with Kenny Omega after he steals the show in his comeback match

Kenny Omega officially returned to AEW at the Worlds End 2024 Pay-Per-View. The Cleaner gave the fans the treat of his presence after being absent from the company for a year.

Omega made his in-ring return against Gabe Kidd, and the fans have to wonder if his comeback match in All Elite Wrestling will happen soon. However, after The Best Bout Machine steals the show yet again in his comeback match Tony Khan will need to avoid any mistakes to slow down his momentum.

So, we’re here to look at the mistakes AEW needs to avoid making with Kenny Omega after his comeback match:

#3. Making any lapses in his AEW presentation

It’s safe to say Kenny Omega might have the most amount of hype behind him in the roster following his return. The Cleaner will surely be putting on his absolute best week in and out every time he appears. However, he now needs to be treated as a top elite star to preserve that essence.

Tony Khan should bill him as sort of The Final Boss now in the company, as he deserves that treatment. It could also do wonders for the promotion if Kenny Omega successfully becomes a Roman Reigns-like figure for All Elite Wrestling. To achieve those results though, there needs to be a step-up in his presentation soon.

#2. Avoiding any useless comedy or tag-team angles

The Cleaner is no stranger to comedy or tag teams, but it’s clear that he needs to be taken much more seriously now. Of course, AEW can still make him crack a few jokes and put him in tag team matches if needed, but the promotion should avoid putting him in whole angles around those situations.

Kenny Omega has been away from All Elite Wrestling for more than a year now and definitely needs something more intense to sink his teeth into. A useless comedy or tag-team angle could hurt his ongoing momentum and chip away from his current aura as the returning top star.

#1. Delaying Kenny Omega’s feud with Kazuchika Okada for too long

Kenny made his return at Worlds End 2024 to confront Kazuchika Okada following the latter’s match against Will Ospreay for the AEW Continental Championship. The two stars have a lot of history with each other and it’s clear a feud between them has started to already brew.

Now, it certainly needs a buildup to reach the maximum amount of hype and anticipation for the next time they wrestle each other. However, there shouldn’t be too much of a delay in pulling the trigger on them going all out against each other soon.
