3 reasons why Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa is opening WWE RAW on Netflix debut episode

Tonight’s edition of WWE RAW will be the first episode of the red brand on Netflix. The show will feature several marquee matches and will air live from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California.

According to a new report from Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Dr. Chris Featherstone, the Tribal Combat match between Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns will be kicking off tonight’s historic episode of RAW. It was revealed this past Friday night on SmackDown that Paul Heyman will be ringside for the match to guard the Ula Fala and will become Solo Sikoa’s Wiseman if he defeats Reigns in the Tribal Combat match.

Listed below are three reasons why Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns are opening tonight’s episode of RAW.

#3. WWE wants Seth Rollins and CM Punk to be the main event

CM Punk and Seth Rollins will be squaring off in a highly anticipated match tonight on WWE RAW. The two stars have been involved in a personal rivalry for a while now and will finally battle during tonight’s show.

While fans are excited about the Tribal Combat match between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, the rivalry between Punk and Rollins has captivated wrestling fans. The promotion likely selected Punk and Rollins as the main event due to the crowd being the most invested in the storyline at the moment.

#2. The company wants to start RAW on a high note

Roman Reigns is the face of the company, and WWE likely wants to have him front and center when RAW debuts on Netflix later tonight. The Original Tribal Chief could kick off tonight’s show and set the stage for the historic event.

The Rock could also make an appearance during the Tribal Combat match later tonight on RAW. The company may want to start the debut episode of RAW on Netflix with a bang, and that is why they elected to have the Tribal Combat match open the show.

#1. The promotion may have an interesting finish planned for the Tribal Combat match

There is a lot on the line during the Tribal Combat match tonight on WWE RAW. Solo Sikoa stated this past Friday night on SmackDown that he will acknowledge Roman Reigns as The Tribal Chief if he loses to him tonight. However, Paul Heyman will have to become his Wiseman forever if he can defeat The Head of the Table tonight on WWE SmackDown.

The company may be planning on having The Rock interfere in the match, or perhaps Paul Heyman could get involved in the finish to the bout tonight. WWE may want to send fans home happy tonight on RAW, and having a screwy finish would not be the best way to close the show if that were the case.
