Hologram greatly impressed fans and critics alike as soon as he debuted in AEW, dazzling everyone with his outstanding in-ring abilities. The Masked star has since gained a lot of intrigue since he first showed up, and has left fans wondering what’s next for him.
Unfortunately, Hologram suffered an ankle injury in his two out of three falls match against The Beast Mortos at WrestleDream, sidelining him. Reports have now started to emerge, indicating that his return to All Elite Wrestling will happen sometime sooner rather than later. So, we’re here to look at some ways Hologram can make his return to AEW TV.
#3) Have him confront Konosuke Takeshita and challenge for the AEW International Championship
It’s clear to a lot of fans that Hologram is going to be a certified star if he’s given the time to shine and grow more at All Elite Wrestling. Many fans are already convinced that he deserves a shot at a title and we know exactly which one he should aim for on his return, the AEW International Championship.
Konosuke Takeshita is proving to be a worthy champion after beating Powerhouse Hobbs and Shingo Takagi in show-stealing matches at Worlds End 2024 and Wrestle Kingdom 19, respectively. We’re sure Takeshita’s and Hologram’s styles in the ring will mesh well with each other if the latter earns his shot at the International Championship.
#2) Start a new feud with Ricochet
After coming off a brutal blow-off match with The Beast Mortos at WrestleDream, Hologram needs a new opponent to tango with in the ring. We’re sure he wouldn’t turn down the shot to prove himself against another popular star known for his acrobatic skills, Ricochet.
Ricochet is also currently in the midst of a heel turn in AEW and is showing a new aggressive and dark side against Swerve Strickland. The former WWE star has also complimented the masked star known as Aramis in the past and we’re sure he would love to produce some in-ring magic against Hologram or maybe look to humiliate him now.
#1) Get a tag-team partner and go after the tag-team titles
Following the loss of Pentagon Jr. and seemingly Rey Fenix as well from AEW’s roster, we’re sure that Tony Khan will be looking for new stars to take their spot as the next breakout tag team duo. Perhaps, he could fill that void by pairing Hologram up with another star on his roster and make them go on a tear in the tag-team scene.
A masked partner such as Bandido and Komander would complement Hologram well and could become fan favorites similar to the Lucha Bros. Additionally, if the tag team proves to be successful there’s no reason why Hologram might not chase tag team gold along with his new partner.
