Former WWE Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch is one of the greatest names to ever step inside the squared circle. However, she has not been in action for quite some time.
After performing at the highest level in 2023, The Man brought her A game in the early parts of 2024 as she won the Women’s World Championship in a Battle Royal after Rhea Ripley had to vacate the title due to an injury. However, Big Time Becks’ reign did not last long as she dropped the gold to Liv Morgan at the King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event.
The 37-year-old last competed inside the squared circle on the May 27, 2024 edition of RAW, where she locked horns with Morgan in a rematch for the title, but failed to recapture the gold after interference from Dominik Mysterio. Since then, she has been absent from WWE TV and her contract with the company also expired in June last year.
However, according to WrestleVotes Radio on Backstage Pass, Becky Lynch might return to WWE television to be in the spotlight once again. The report also suggests that there might be some big plans for her going into the WrestleMania 41 season.
Let’s take a look at what the Triple H-led creative team might have planned for Becky Lynch for this year’s Show of Shows:
#4. A rematch with Rhea Ripley
Before winning the Women’s World Championship in a Women’s Battle Royal, Becky Lynch faced Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania XL for the title. However, despite putting on an incredible performance she failed to capture the gold from The Eradicator.
Mami is now all set to lock horns with Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship on RAW’s Netflix debut on January 6, 2025. If she manages to emerge victorious against Morgan, then the Triple H-led creative team might have plans for a rematch between Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch for the title.
#3. A Triple Threat Match between Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, and Liv Morgan
As mentioned above, Rhea Ripley will face Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship on RAW’s Netflix debut. However, if Ripley loses to The Judgment Day star once again, their feud might not end.
It is a no-brainer that Becky Lynch will be put back on top following her much-awaited return to WWE TV. Following her comeback, the Stamford-based promotion might book Lynch to win either the Royal Rumble or the Elimination Chamber to challenge for a big title.
After January 6, 2025, one of the biggest titles in the women’s division would be held by either Liv Morgan or Rhea Ripley. So, the Stamford-based promotion might go for a storyline where Becky Lynch could be put into a triple-threat match with Morgan, and Ripley at WrestleMania 41 as all three stars have a rich history against each other.
#2. Big non-title match with Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair is another big-name WWE Superstar who is currently absent from television due to multiple injuries. She last competed inside the squared circle on the December 8, 2023 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, where she locked horns with Asuka. However, during the match, The Queen, unfortunately, suffered a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus.
Amid her absence, Flair has been regularly updating fans on her recovery. However, her return might just be around the corner as she has started training at the WWE Performance Center.
If Becky Lynch does not go after the Women’s World Championship once again, the Triple H-led creative might have plans for a feud between two of their biggest stars heading into WrestleMania 41 without a title on the line.
#1. Non-title match against a potentially returning AJ Lee
Since CM Punk’s return to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2023, many people have been expecting a big comeback from his wife and former Divas Champion, AJ Lee. The Best in the World is currently in a heated feud with Seth Rollins.
On this week’s edition of RAW, Punk and Rollins went into a war of words. During the segment, The Second City Saint apparently crossed the line by including Becky Lynch in his promo, asking Seth if The Man took her ball and ran home with it, mocking Lynch’s current absence from TV. However, The Visionary did not back down either as he took a personal shot at CM Punk and AJ Lee.
Following this heated exchange, many people believe AJ Lee could return to the Stamford-based promotion to start a feud with Becky Lynch. If the former Divas Champion returned, then the creative team might have an easy feud lined up for the two stars, which could culminate at WrestleMania 41 in a non-title match.
