Tonight’s WWE RAW is considered the biggest in the company’s history, as it will mark the show’s debut on Netflix. Several high-profile matches are advertised, along with appearances from legends. With this in mind, some interesting face-offs can occur on the upcoming show.
Tonight’s WWE RAW on Netflix currently has four advertised matches: Liv Morgan will defend the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley, Jey Uso will face Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns will battle Solo Sikoa, and CM Punk will take on Seth Rollins. However, fans should also tune in for the announced appearances of several stars, including The Rock, John Cena, Logan Paul, and possibly even Hulk Hogan. With all of these big names present, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they might cross paths tonight.
For this list, we will look at five blockbuster face-offs that could happen on WWE RAW’s Netflix debut.
#5. The Rock and Cody Rhodes have unfinished business
One of the biggest feuds heading into WrestleMania XL was Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns, but the addition of The Rock turned the heat up. After the Premium Live Event, it was hinted by The Final Boss that he has The American Nightmare on his sights next.
Although Rhodes is not advertised for tonight, nothing is stopping him from making an appearance, even a backstage one. With this in mind, both men might see each other backstage and tease fans with their eventual feud by having a staredown.
#4. Gunther might target Hulk Hogan next after an interesting encounter with several legends in the past
In 2024, Gunther had a couple of interesting interactions with wrestling legends. He disrespected Bret Hart when WWE RAW visited Canada and almost got physical with Goldberg at Bad Blood. Tonight, The Ring General might do the same with another Hall of Famer.
As per reports, Hulk Hogan is scheduled to appear on tonight’s episode and cut a promo. However, the legend and the company can spice things up by including the World Heavyweight Champion in the mix to berate The Hulkster for bringing dishonor to the sport.
#3. The Rock and John Cena have a lot of history
Long-time rivals The Rock and John Cena are scheduled to appear on WWE RAW tonight. Both men last met at WrestleMania XL, where The Brahma Bull helped Roman and The Cenation Leader helped Rhodes. Although their feud ended more than a decade ago, it’s clear that no love was lost.
Cena is set to appear tonight to discuss his retirement tour this year. Dwayne Johnson can interrupt it to offer him one last match. Both men can also cross paths backstage to reminisce about their heated rivalry, which began in 2011.
#2. John Cena and Cody Rhodes can have a meaningful interaction
One of the main discussions during John Cena’s absence and eventual retirement is who will fill his shoes next, and many think Cody Rhodes is up for the job. The latter is the biggest babyface in recent history, connects well with the crowd, and got his name across in mainstream media.
On WWE RAW’s Netflix debut, Cena can have a personal interaction with Rhodes by congratulating him on his success on the Stamford-based promotion and possibly even tease an eventual match or tag team partnership down the line.
#1. The long-awaited confrontation between Roman Reigns and The Rock can happen on WWE RAW tonight
If many wrestling fans were waiting for the singles match between CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins, one confrontation many hope to see more is between The Rock and Roman Reigns. With The Bloodline saga continuing to heat up tonight, it might finally happen.
A lot has happened since Dwayne and Roman were on the same team. Solo Sikoa took over as The Tribal Chief, Reigns teamed up with Cody, and the OG Bloodline reunited. Johnson made a brief appearance at the end of Bad Blood and expressed that he wasn’t the happiest with Roman and Rhodes teaming up. During the Tribal Combat tonight, he can help Sikoa win and have a tense face-off with the former Undisputed Champion.
