7-time WWE world champion hints at Survivor Series return to face Roman Reigns

The OG Bloodline and Roman Reigns face mounting challenges ahead of Survivor Series. With just a week remaining, their search for a fifth member continues while The New Bloodline secured Bronson Reed to complete their lineup. However, the team composition might become secondary if CM Punk decides to impact the WarGames bout.

Despite Punk’s current absence and apparent disconnect from the WarGames narrative, his recent comments hint at potential developments. While many expect him to target Seth Rollins upon return, a different scenario could unfold based on his latest interview.

During a conversation with Peter Rosenberg, Punk expressed interest in facing Roman Reigns, describing it as “a big moment.” This statement, combined with his ongoing rivalry with Rollins, opens possibilities for WWE Creative to craft a significant storyline.

Should Rollins join forces with the OG Bloodline, Punk could make his presence felt during the WarGames bout. An interference targeting Rollins would not only cost Reigns’ team the victory but potentially ignite a major rivalry with the Original Tribal Chief, possibly leading to a WrestleMania 41 confrontation.

CM Punk reflects on AEW run, discusses missed opportunities

Expanding on Punk’s recent media appearances, the former WWE Champion shared candid thoughts about his time in AEW during the same interview with Peter Rosenberg at ComplexCon. When questioned about potential regrets regarding untold stories or missed bouts, Punk offered a revealing response.

“[Laughs] Do I? It’s such a loaded question,” Punk said. “I feel like I wasted some matches on some people, for sure, but that is what it is. Some people understand the business, and some people don’t. I think everybody here understands the business.”

Punk’s tenure with AEW concluded following backstage incidents at All In 2023, leading to his WWE return at Survivor Series 2023. He last appeared on the October 7 edition of Monday Night RAW, with no announced date for his comeback.
