Future of Street Profits in WWE revealed; is Montez Ford’s dissatisfaction real?
Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have locked in their futures with WWE, ending speculations about potential departures.
PWInsider confirms both members of The Street Profits signed long-term agreements. Their recent comments about booking frustrations, particularly after Bobby Lashley’s exit, appear to be part of a calculated narrative rather than genuine dissatisfaction.
Sources close to the situation suggest these statements aim primarily to generate attention. Ford and Dawkins recently intensified their presence through impactful promos, displaying a more serious persona. WWE’s social media platforms actively feature their content, indicating potential character developments in the coming weeks.
Street Profits’ Championship Drought Continues After Three Years
The Street Profits’ championship success in WWE remains a distant memory. Their last reign came in October 2020, when they exchanged the RAW Tag Team Championship for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship with The New Day through a draft pick swap. Their final stint with gold ended in January 2021, falling to Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler.
Prior to that exchange, Ford and Dawkins captured the RAW Tag Team Championship from Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy in March 2020, marking their initial main roster title victory.
