CM Punk says it’s scary being face of WWE Raw on Netflix

CM Punk shared his thoughts about being prominently featured in WWE RAW’s Netflix promotional materials during a conversation with Peter Rosenberg. The Second City Savior acknowledged the significance of his role in marketing the streaming platform transition.

“I stay ready, apparently. I’m front and center on a lot of the signage I’ve seen. It’s kinda daunting,” Punk said. He added, “It feels good to a point, but I’m the kinda guy who likes to live kinda private, incognito, but they’re just putting me on blast. I get it, I’m here, that’s why I’m here. I’m here to help Netflix, and Netflix is here to help us.”

The streaming deal, valued at over $5 billion across 10 years, makes Netflix the exclusive streaming home for RAW in several regions starting January 2025.

The show will maintain its three-hour format and feature uncensored content.

CM Punk’s next rivalry teased on RAW

During lasted Monday Night RAW, World Heavyweight Champion Gunther delivered a backstage promo containing a reference to Punk’s entrance theme, Cult of Personality. Speaking to Ludwig Kaiser, the Ring General used the line “look into his eyes,” echoing lyrics from Punk’s iconic theme song.

The subtle nod suggests potential plans for Punk’s return, possibly setting up a program with Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.
