Wrestling legend suggests Solo Sikoa could defeat Roman Reigns on RAW
Jim Cornette analyzes how a potential Solo Sikoa victory over Roman Reigns could impact the ongoing Bloodline storyline on RAW’s Netflix debut.
Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa are set to face each other in a singles match at RAW’s Netflix debut, continuing their rivalry that intensified after Reigns’ SummerSlam return. The match follows their recent clash at WarGames, where Reigns, alongside The Usos, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk, emerged victorious over Sikoa’s faction.
Speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the wrestling veteran analyzed the potential outcome of this high-stakes encounter. Cornette discussed the creative implications of the match result:
We got Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman going not only now for an Emmy but also potentially an award in cinematography… They’ve been fooling us for about three years now, so maybe Roman gets beat on this one, but maybe he gets beat in such a way… It would be hard to figure out a way to keep Solo scary if he just got beat at Survivor Series and now he gets beat on this widely watched special, because then, if you do the heat afterward, you’re just doing the same thing.
CM Punk emerges as potential WrestleMania 41 opponent for Roman Reigns
According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, WWE has begun internal discussions about a potential Roman Reigns versus CM Punk match at WrestleMania 41. This development follows recent adjustments to previously planned storylines for both performers.
While Reigns continues his current program with Solo Sikoa, the company maintains flexibility in their WrestleMania plans.
The report indicates that any potential match between Reigns and Punk would depend on The Rock’s availability for the event, as his involvement could alter the planned card structure.
