WWE veteran addresses Hulk Hogan’s racist comments: “Never wanted to move on”

WWE veteran Mark Henry spoke to TMZ about the negative reception Hulk Hogan received on the January 6 episode of RAW on Netflix. The WWE Hall of Famer noted that the backlash stems from Hogan’s racist comments in 2015 and his lack of accountability for the issue.

With the current social climate and the things he’s said and done, combined with the lack of effort to make amends, people are going to criticize him. I offered for us to tour Black colleges and law schools to explain what happened. He didn’t want to do it.

Henry emphasized that Hogan has had numerous opportunities to resolve the situation.

He never wanted to move forward and fix it. This is what happens when you think everything will blow over. It doesn’t blow over.

Eric Bischoff Addresses Hogan’s Boos on RAW on Netflix

Former WCW executive Eric Bischoff discussed on his podcast, 83 Weeks, the negative reaction Hogan received during RAW’s Netflix debut. According to Bischoff, the boos may be linked to Hogan’s political views.

If you haven’t spent much time in California, especially in LA or San Francisco, you’ve probably heard how liberal it is. Hogan and Trump are tied together in the public eye. You’re going to get a negative reaction in California. You can be disappointed, but you can’t be surprised.

Bischoff added that Hogan appeared uncomfortable during the segment and may have considered altering his script to take a more confrontational tone but ultimately stuck to the original plan.
