Adam Copeland returned to AEW at the Worlds End PPV. The Rated R Superstar has his sights set on going after Jon Moxley and the World Title. However, Cope could bring former WWE Champion Bryan Danielson back and make him a member of Rated FTR in their battle against The Death Riders.
Bryan Danielson was a part of the Blackpool Combat Club with Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta. However, the group turned on him at AEW All Out, which resulted in the birth of The Death Riders with the addition of PAC and Marina Shafir. At the AEW WrestleDream PPV, Jon Moxley defeated Byran Danielson to become World Champion and retired him from full-time competition in professional wrestling.
The landscape of the promotion has changed since WrestleDream as Jon Moxley has been causing havoc at the top of the mountain. However, The Death Riders have butted heads with some major competition as at Worlds End, WWE Hall of Famer Adam Copeland returned to the promotion alongside FTR to confront The Death Riders. The newly-formed Rated FTR is coming for Jon Moxley and The Death Riders but they still need one more star to potentially end Moxley’s carnage.
Adam Copeland could convince Bryan Danielson to make his shocking return to All Elite Wrestling and offer him an opportunity for revenge on The Death Riders. The move could also bring a new set of eyes on the product as an angle involving top names like Jon Moxley, Cope, and Bryan Danielson can be a must-see.
AEW star Bryan Danielson on his in-ring future
The American Dragon retired from full-time in-ring competition at AEW WrestleDream. Bryan Danielson had some of his best matches in All Elite Wrestling in his last year as a full-time star. He recently opened up about his future in the squared circle.
In a recent episode of The Nikki & Brie show, Bryan Danielson revealed that it is currently unknown what the future holds for him.
“I was very cautious to not say ‘retirement,’ except for the match where if I lost [against Swerve Strickland], I would retire. After that, it was all, ‘the end of my full-time wrestling career.’ We don’t know what’s going to happen with my neck, but it honestly feels like I have a bobblehead,” Bryan Danielson said. We will have to wait and see if Bryan Danielson returns to the ring in All Elite Wrestling in 2025.
