AEW Caused Chad Gable’s Big WWE Plans to Be Canceled
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE considered bringing in a Mexican promotion talent for Chad Gable’s Lucha Libre storyline before changing direction.
Chad Gable announced on RAW that he would step away from WWE to “learn the dark arts of Lucha Libre.”
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE initially explored the possibility of enhancing this storyline by bringing in talent from AAA, given their lack of association with AEW, unlike CMLL.
The report indicates that WWE ultimately decided against pursuing this collaboration at the last minute and is now taking the storyline in a different direction.
