AEW altered plans for the March 12 episode of Dynamite shortly before broadcast due to physical condition concerns with several performers.

The show, which dealt with fallout from the Revolution pay-per-view, featured a heavier emphasis on promo segments than originally planned. Many top stars who competed at Revolution did not wrestle on the subsequent Dynamite.

Sean Ross Sapp addressed these modifications during a Fightful report, revealing the circumstances behind the promo-centric broadcast.

We kicked off with the Kenny Omega promo. This AEW Dynamite was a promo-heavy show for a lot of the top talent because, quite frankly, a lot of them were beat to dog s*** this week…..I do know that some of this show changed kind of late because there were people who couldn’t quite do what AEW had originally anticipated. This happens here and there with AEW.

Will Ospreay, who participated in a grueling steel cage match against Kyle Fletcher at Revolution, mentioned his physical condition during the broadcast. His match included a Spanish Fly executed from the top of the cage structure.

Ospreay confirmed his plans to return to England to visit family and announced his future participation in the Owen Hart Cup tournament.

The March 12 Dynamite also featured the beginning of the International Championship Tournament as part of the build toward the upcoming Dynasty event.
