AEW could be pumping up its tag team division again soon, but one team has been away from television since November. A new report has shed some light on La Faccion Ingobernable’s current status.
Dralistico last competed on All Elite TV in a Trios Match on the October 30 edition of Rampage. However, his teammates, Rush and The Beast Mortos, battled The Acclaimed on November 16 for a chance to enter the Four-Way Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Full Gear.
LFI lost that match, and Fightful Select has indicated that it may have been due to backstage heat. According to Fightul’s latest Q&A, Rush and Mortos were originally supposed to defeat The Acclaimed and enter the match at Full Gear, which was ultimately won by Private Party.
The backstage heat allegedly stems from an incident during their match against Alec Price and Richard Holliday on the November 15 edition of Rampage, where Rush and The Beast Mortos got physical with Holliday while the company’s medical team was checking on him.
Hologram is reportedly healed up and ready to return to AEW
The Beast Mortos lost some steam during his recent tag team and trios run with Rush and Dralistico, but the masked monster was riding high earlier this year. Unfortunately, his rivalry against Hologram was cut short due to injury.
Hologram quickly became a fan favorite because of his high-flying offense, but an ankle injury at WrestleDream put him out of action. He’s remained on the shelf since October 12, but he could return soon.
Recent reports have indicated that Hologram is healed up from his injury and ready to make his comeback. It’s also been revealed that he was staying close to his wife during the final months of her pregnancy, but now that she’s given birth, there doesn’t seem to be anything holding him back.
This year could be a major one for Hologram and The Beast Mortos. Whether the two continue to rise through the ranks in AEW remains to be seen.
