Backstage reaction to AEW Dynamite Fight for the Fallen – Reports

A report recently emerged regarding the recent edition of AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen. It was a huge show for the company as it kicked off a new era for the promotion. The flagship show aired for the first time on Max as their renewed WBD deal came into effect.

This week’s Dynamite was stacked with huge matches. The ending of the Worlds End pay-per-view set a blockbuster trios contest for the flagship show. A troubled FTR sought cope for help against The Death Riders and won a massive contest. Also, they advertised a Casino Gauntlet match where the winner will receive a huge title shot at Jon Moxley’s championship.

Apart from starting new feuds and improving the product, AEW made several changes during the latest episode of Dynamite. The show featured different camera angles, and the arena’s lighting was noticeably brighter than usual, which gave it a much better look.

According to Fightful, AEW was ‘very pleased’ with their improvements at the start of the year. It remains to be seen if these changes will be a part of the company in the future too.

Veteran blasts Tony Khan for low AEW Dynamite ratings

The Jacksonville-based promotion didn’t deliver in terms of ratings last year. The show didn’t cross the 700,000 average viewership mark in the last few weeks.

While speaking on Keeping It 100 OFFICIAL, WCW veteran Konnan claimed that any promotion would fire him if he didn’t perform well and stated that no one would fire Tony Khan as he owns the promotion.

“Here’s the thing, bro, If I lost those numbers in Mexico, they would fire me. No questions asked. But he’s [Tony Khan] the owner. Who’s gonna fire him? And that’s his hobby,” he said.

It will be interesting to see if the ratings will improve now that the company has made many changes.
