Becky Lynch follows AEW star MJF's lead for career-altering project - Reports

Former WWE Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch has reportedly secured a major role in a project outside the wrestling industry. She will star in a movie featuring current AEW star MJF.

The Man has not been seen in the ring since the May 27 edition of Monday Night RAW. She lost the Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage match. Following this, her contract expired, and she became a free agent. While there has not been any official confirmation of Lynch’s status, there have been reports of her imminent return.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Becky Lynch will be starring in Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2, the sequel to the iconic movie starring Adam Sandler. She is set to appear as part of a group of rival golfers, including former NFL player Reggie Bush.

Bad Bunny and MJF will also appear in the movie, with the latter being one of Adam Sandler’s sons in the film.

Becky Lynch may face a former rival in her return

A report has recently surfaced regarding one of Becky Lynch’s possible opponents once she makes her long-awaited return to WWE. It suggests that it will be one of her former rivals.

Being one of the top women in the industry, Lynch has found herself in several intense feuds over the past few years, one of them being with Rhea Ripley. The Eradicator is set to challenge Liv Morgan for her WWE Women’s World Championship during RAW’s debut on Netflix.

Ibou of WrestlePurists has reported regarding a potential match between Becky and Rhea soon. He did not disclose a timeline for this, but it can be assumed that this may be once the former returns to WWE. She could get involved on RAW after the match between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley.

With the Royal Rumble next month, this could be the earliest possible event for a match between them. Fans will just have to stay tuned tomorrow night to see whether this will indeed be the case.
