Becky Lynch’s future has been up in the air ever since she took a hiatus from WWE. While many expect The Man to return to the squared circle down the line, Liv Morgan believes that the former champion is now retired.

Lynch was last seen in action in May when she lost to Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage match on RAW. The duo also clashed at WWE King and Queen of the Ring before that where Morgan defeated The Man to kickstart her Women’s World Championship reign. After the Steel Cage match loss, Becky took an indefinite hiatus. She is also no longer under a contract with the global juggernaut.

Last night on SmackDown, Liv Morgan reminded everyone about her win against Becky Lynch. The Women’s World Champion also reiterated that she has retired The Man during her war of words with Nia Jax. Liv and Nia are slated to face off for the Crown Jewel Championship at the namesake premium live event.

WWE veteran believes Becky Lynch got punished by Vince McMahon for a particular comment

Becky Lynch is one of the most decorated female stars of all time. In addition to winning multiple titles, The Man also headlined WrestleMania, forever etching her name in the history books.

However, despite a glorious career, Vince Russo believes that Lynch’s WWE run was derailed by Vince McMahon after the latter mentioned that her family is her number 1 priority over pro wrestling.

“I was never a huge Becky Lynch fan. However, if you remember, she just had a child, and one of the first things she did was go on the Austin show. Anybody can go back and look at the interview… Here’s the first thing she said, ‘Wrestling is not the most important thing in my life anymore.’ And when she said that, and this was when Vince was in charge, I’m like – ‘As much as I respect you saying that, that’s career suicide. And I’m telling you, the way she got booked from that moment on, you could tell that wrestling was clearly not the most important thing to her anymore. And Vince wasn’t gonna have it. And that’s why she went home.

While Becky is no longer under a contract with WWE, it has been reported numerous times that the higher-ups expect her to return once she decides to dust off her wrestling boots again. However, there is still no word when it may happen.
