Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair won’t win Royal Rumble due to ex-WWE Champion, says ex-WWE star

Former WWE performer Aiden English suggests Piper Niven could capture Royal Rumble victory to elevate women's midcard titles at WrestleMania.

Despite speculation surrounding Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair’s potential Royal Rumble victories, former WWE Superstar Aiden English suggests an unexpected winner could emerge. Speaking on the Rebooked Wrestling podcast, English proposed that former 24/7 Champion Piper Niven might secure the victory to spotlight WWE’s newly introduced women’s midcard championships.

English outlined his vision for utilizing Niven’s potential triumph:

Solely because I think – I don’t think this will really, really happen – but I think a fun thing with the introduction of the women’s midcard titles could be this: Again, nobody would do this, but given the length of time Piper and Chelsea have been together, and to really put some importance on that US Title, use that Royal Rumble win to cash in on a US Title shot at, like, a WrestleMania

The scenario would position either the Women’s United States or Intercontinental Championship as a WrestleMania destination for the Rumble winner.

Lynch’s Contract Status Confirmed

While Lynch was notably absent from RAW’s Netflix premiere despite appearing in promotional materials, Fightful Select reports she has secured a new WWE contract following the expiration of her previous deal in June 2024.

Sources indicate that both parties expected to continue their relationship, though specific plans for Lynch’s return and WrestleMania role remain unconfirmed. While Lynch was not scheduled for the Netflix premiere, internal expectations suggest she will factor into upcoming major events.
