Bianca Belair could vacate WWE Women’s Tag Team Title after Jade Cargill injury

Jonathan Coachman believes Bianca Belair won’t hesitate to relinquish the Women’s Tag Team Championship following Jade Cargill’s injury. The former WWE official shared his thoughts on the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast.

Cargill was discovered unconscious on a car hood during SmackDown, leading to her immediate hospitalization. WWE later revealed she suffered multiple injuries, including deep lumbar paraspinal muscle contusions, a sprained MCL, and facial lacerations.

Coachman predicts WWE will hold a tournament to crown new champions, suggesting Belair has little interest in the tag team division.

“Bianca may act like she doesn’t want to give them up. She’s happily gonna give up those Tag Team Titles. She doesn’t care about them at all. You don’t make money in WWE as a tag team champion of the world. You gotta be on your own,” Coachman said.

Cargill out until February 2025

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Daily Update that Cargill faces at least a three-month recovery period.

WWE Creative received notification about her extended absence, though specific details about the injury remain private.

WWE might explore having Belair choose a new partner, with Naomi mentioned as a potential candidate. Alternatively, the company could opt to vacate the titles entirely.
