Big News About CM Punk’s Return to the WWE Ring
After suffering an injury at the WWE Royal Rumble in January, information about CM Punk’s return to the ring has been updated. He confirmed that he suffered a torn triceps and ended up sitting out WrestleMania XL.
Since the incident, Punk and Drew McIntyre have been involved in a heated exchange of insults, which at times turned physical. At WrestleMania 40, even with McIntyre winning and then losing the World Heavyweight Championship, the rivalry remained fierce.
Dave Meltzer, on Wrestling Observer Radio, commented on Punk’s return: “It won’t be long before Punk returns. If he had the surgery at the end of January, we are looking at the end of July, August, maybe September. He could return at SummerSlam and face Drew for the title, which makes perfect sense.”
Additionally, WWE SummerSlam is scheduled to take place in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 3, 2024, and other major events such as King & Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia, Clash at the Castle in Scotland, and Money in the Bank in Canada are also scheduled before SummerSlam.
