A promising United States Championship match on SmackDown came to an abrupt halt when Jacob Fatu decided he’d seen enough. LA Knight was defending his gold against Braun Strowman when all hell broke loose.
The bout started with Strowman dominating, using his size to control Knight in the corner. Not to be outdone, Knight fought back and sent Strowman tumbling out of the ring just before SmackDown cut to commercial.
When the show returned, Knight had found his groove, connecting with a “bulldog” off the middle rope followed by some stiff jabs. The champ even showed off his power game with a slam and elbow drop that nearly got him the three-count.
As the action spilled outside, Fatu made his presence felt, causing an immediate DQ. The Bloodline member then planted Strowman with a “Samoan Drop” on the announce table.
This interference follows last week’s incident where Solo Sikoa accidentally cost Fatu his shot at Knight’s title. The attack didn’t end there – Fatu hit multiple hip attacks on Strowman in the corner before capping off the assault with a moonsault.
