Bloodline Member Given New Name After WWE Night Of Champions

Following his impactful debut at WWE Night of Champions, the wrestler formerly known as Hikuleo has been given his official main roster name: Tala Tonga. The name was confirmed in the hours following the premium live event on June 28.

The debut itself occurred during the United States Championship match between Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa. Tonga, a towering 6-foot-8 presence, emerged to assist Sikoa, attacking Fatu with a chokeslam onto the announce desk. The interference allowed Sikoa to secure the victory and the championship, immediately establishing Tala Tonga as the newest member of Sikoa’s growing faction.

While commentators Michael Cole and Wade Barrett alluded to his wrestling background in Japan and his family connections, they did not refer to him by name during the broadcast. The official reveal came subtly during the Night of Champions post-show. An on-screen graphic that appeared during an interview with the new champion credited Sikoa’s win to the help of a debuting Tala Tonga.

The new name aligns with a trademark for “Talla Tonga” that WWE filed in June 2024, signaling his arrival was long-planned. Prior to this debut, he had competed in non-televised matches under the Hikuleo name.

His inclusion in the storyline is a natural fit, as Tala Tonga is the brother of Tama Tonga and the adopted brother of Tonga Loa, all of whom are sons of wrestling legend Haku. With his official naming, the active ranks of Solo Sikoa’s faction have now doubled, setting the stage for the group’s next chapter.
