Braun Strowman teams up with WWE legend to defeat The Judgment Day after SmackDown goes off the air
Braun Strowman teamed up with a WWE legend in the post-SmackDown dark match. What was a title match turned into a six-man tag team bout and The Monster of all Monsters stood tall in the end.
This week’s episode of SmackDown ended with Naomi losing her WWE Women’s Championship match to Nia Jax following interference from Tiffany Stratton and Candice LeRae. After the show went off the air, The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh first defended the World Tag Team Titles against WWE legend Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee.
The Judgment Day vs. LWO title match was interrupted by Carlito, with Braun Strowman coming out to even the odds. Making it a six-man tag team match, he would help Mysterio and Lee defeat The Judgment Day and put them away.
It was a fantastic combination and one has to wonder why we don’t see it more on television. Braun Strowman with high-flyers from the LWO seem to be very compatible as a team and it also gives them an edge against their opponents.
The legend Carlito was the one who took the 619 and a Running Powerslam to eat the pinfall.
As for The Judgment Day, they still need to actively defend their titles on RAW – something that just doesn’t seem to be happening.
