Bron Breakker lauds former rival Jey Uso amid WWE success
Two-time Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker praises Jey Uso's influence during their rivalry. Former opponents head different directions ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames.
Bron Breakker reflected on his main roster journey during Ringside Fest 2024, offering rare out-of-character praise for Jey Uso. The two-time Intercontinental Champion spoke warmly of their recent rivalry, which included matches across the UK tour.
“Working with Jey was great,” Breakker shared. “It comes with great responsibility, and I think it’s going to be a great opportunity for me to go on a nice run and have some character development.”
Their paths crossed after Breakker’s main roster arrival on RAW, where he claimed the Intercontinental Championship from Sami Zayn at SummerSlam 2024. Jey Uso, establishing himself as a singles competitor post-Bloodline exit, briefly captured the title from Breakker before losing it back in a rematch influenced by Solo Sikoa’s faction.
The landscape has shifted dramatically since their encounters. Breakker now operates as a tweener, while Jey has rejoined Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso to combat Solo Sikoa’s group. Their story takes a new turn as both prepare for different roles at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024.
The former NXT Champion’s comments highlight Jey’s impact as a singles competitor, following his departure from The Bloodline and subsequent reunion with his family to face a common enemy.
