Bronson Reed responds to referee’s Lego threat amid injury recovery

Bronson Reed maintained his humor while addressing a social media exchange with WWE referee Daphanie LaShaunn, making light of his recent ankle surgery. The Australian competitor is currently sidelined following an injury sustained at Survivor Series: WarGames.

Reed underwent surgery on December 11 after attempting a high-risk maneuver during the WarGames match. The incident occurred when his attempted tsunami splash from the cage structure was interrupted by CM Punk, resulting in Reed landing awkwardly while targeting Roman Reigns.

During a social media interaction, LaShaunn wished for Reed to step on a Lego barefoot. Reed responded with characteristic wit:

Well it’d only be one foot atm, referencing his current recovery status.

While Reed plans to attend RAW’s Netflix premiere in Los Angeles on January 6, his participation will be limited to non-physical appearances due to his indefinite recovery period, which is expected to extend through WrestleMania 41.

Jim Cornette evaluates WarGames injury impact

The recent injuries from Survivor Series: WarGames prompted veteran wrestling personality Jim Cornette to examine WWE’s approach to high-risk maneuvers. Both Jimmy Uso and Reed sustained injuries during the match between The OG Bloodline and Solo Sikoa’s faction.

The one good thing they did on these injuries, they showed the X-rays. They highlighted where the injury took place, Cornette stated on The Jim Cornette Experience.

It’s good for the business. Makes it look dangerous. It’s not good for the talent.

Cornette specifically questioned Reed’s cage spot:

They’ve spent all this time and effort in getting Bronson Reed over. He’s a bigger star than he’s ever been. They got the splash off the top rope over as death. Why did he need to come off the top of the cage?
