Bronson Reed shares heartbreaking injury update two weeks after major surgery

Bronson Reed recently shared an update about his recovery progress following ankle surgery, revealing ongoing mobility challenges. The injury occurred during November’s WarGames match when a high-risk Tsunami maneuver from the cage structure went awry.

Through his Instagram account, Reed posted a photo showing his current condition – confined to a sofa with his bandaged foot elevated, indicating he remains unable to bear weight on the affected limb. The surgery, performed in December, proved more complex than initially anticipated, potentially extending his recovery timeline up to a year.

The rehabilitation process presents multiple challenges for Reed. Before considering in-ring training, he must first allow the surgical wound to heal completely and gradually reintroduce weight-bearing activities to the injured limb. This extended period of immobility has led to increased social media activity from the Australian competitor.

Reed maintains humor despite injury setback

Despite facing a lengthy recovery period, Reed demonstrated his resilient spirit during a recent social media exchange with WWE referee Daphanie LaShaunn. When LaShaunn jokingly wished for him to step on a Lego barefoot, Reed responded with characteristic wit:

Well it’d only be one foot atm.

While Reed plans to attend RAW’s Netflix premiere in Los Angeles on January 6, his involvement will be strictly non-physical as he continues his recovery, which is expected to extend through WrestleMania 41.
