Candice LeRae Returns On SmackDown And Aligns Again With DIY

Candice LeRae made a surprising return to WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) programming on the May 23, 2025, edition of SmackDown, intervening in the match between Tommaso Ciampa and Chris Sabin to directly facilitate Ciampa’s contentious win after more than a month away from television.

The interference occurred late in a hard-fought contest between Tommaso Ciampa and Chris Sabin. As Sabin ascended the ropes after executing a tornado DDT, seemingly poised for victory, LeRae suddenly emerged at ringside. She pulled Sabin throat-first down onto the top rope, creating an immediate advantage for Ciampa, who capitalized with a running knee strike to Sabin’s head for the three-count.

Candice LeRae had not been seen on WWE programming since April 11, 2025, when she lost the WWE Women’s Speed Title to Sol Ruca in a match lasting under five minutes. Her reappearance and actions immediately raise questions about her character’s direction, including a potential heel turn and whether she is now officially aligned with #DIY, the team of Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano.
