According to TMZ, Charlotte Flair’s marriage to fellow wrestler Andrade concluded with a divorce finalization in October 2024. The report indicates that Flair initiated the divorce proceedings in June of that year, during her recovery from knee injuries sustained in December 2023.

The couple’s relationship began in 2019, leading to their engagement the following year and marriage in 2022. During Flair’s absence from WWE due to ACL, MCL, and meniscus injuries, Andrade had been assisting with her rehabilitation process.

Flair made her return to WWE competition at this year’s Royal Rumble premium live event, entering at number 27 and competing for just over 15 minutes before securing victory by eliminating Roxanne Perez. During the post-show media session, Flair addressed her return to the ring with visible emotion.

I really don’t want to break down. So this was the longest I’ve been away from you guys and fans since I started in 2012, and I got into this business because of my little brother. When my knee injury happened in December and it took me out, I just kept thinking, ‘I can’t go out this way.’ Then it made me realize how far I’ve come, and I was doing it because of him. Then seeing all the fans keeping up with my injury updates throughout the year with rehab and like, ‘We miss you Charlotte, we love you Charlotte,’ as a performer, sometimes you do feel like, ‘Do I still got it? What am I coming back to do? I’ve done it all.’ Coming back tonight and winning the Rumble two times, it’s like no, I’m coming back to do it all over again. That’s how hungry I am. Little secret, when I came out tonight, I couldn’t get my robe off. I was like, good thing I remembered how to wrestle because I can’t get this robe off [laughs], it had been so long. So it felt great, thank you.

With her Royal Rumble victory, Flair has earned an opportunity to challenge either Rhea Ripley or Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.

Fitness Concerns Surface Following Royal Rumble Performance

While competing in the Royal Rumble match, Flair wore a leg brace, prompting questions about her full recovery status. Her participation marked her first in-ring action since the injury occurred 13 months ago, and she has not competed in a singles match during this period.

Reports suggest Triple H may need to evaluate her physical condition before confirming her championship opportunity at WrestleMania.

This assessment would determine her readiness for the event’s main stage, considering the extended absence from singles competition.
