Charlotte Flair is navigating single life after finalizing her divorce from Andrade in 2024, and she has a clear preference for how she wants to meet someone new, making it clear that dating apps are not part of the plan.
While appearing on the Nikki and Brie Show, Flair discussed her approach to dating, emphasizing that chemistry is the most crucial factor for her in a potential partner.
“I’m not opposed to my height. But whoever — like whoever I have the best chemistry with. I mean, chemistry is everything.”
When asked by Nikki Bella about using dating apps, Flair explained her aversion to them. She mentioned a brief stint on the exclusive app Raya back in 2016 but has not used any since her divorce became final, preferring a more traditional approach.
“No, I don’t either. I was on Raya for like three months, in like 2016. I don’t even know if I still have the membership. But I haven’t been on a dating app since my divorce was final. I’d rather meet the old-fashioned way.”
Flair humorously added that her father, the legendary Ric Flair, has effectively become her own personal dating service, constantly trying to set her up with his friends and acquaintances.
“I think my dad’s like my app. He’s like, ‘I’ve got a friend, I’ve got a friend.’ I’m like, ‘Dad, sir, sit down. Sit down. I don’t need your help in this area.’ And he does know a lot of people,” Flair joked. She described her father as “the most embarrassing,” often announcing that she is single without her permission at events like Fanatics Fest.
This openness about her personal life aligns with Flair’s recent return to WWE programming in May 2025 and her stated intention to evolve her on-screen character. After her first appearance since WrestleMania 41 on the May 9 episode of WWE RAW, Flair has spoken about wanting to “pull the curtain back” and allow the audience to see more of Ashley Fliehr, her real-life persona. She feels the “perfect and pristine” nature of her “Charlotte” character is not relatable and wants to connect more authentically with fans.
That desire for authenticity was strengthened by publicly addressing her divorce. Flair admitted to PEOPLE magazine that the “embarrassment of being divorced again” had been a heavy burden but speaking about it lifted a “weight” off her shoulders.
Flair also acknowledged that people have been “sliding into her DMs,” an experience she finds flattering.
“Yeah, yeah. It feels good. It’s a totally different — like, to have the conversation, sliding into your DMs.”
On-screen, her new chapter could involve a partnership with another returning star, Alexa Bliss. The two were seen in a backstage segment on WWE RAW, sparking speculation about a potential tag team run, especially with the women’s tag team division in a state of flux. This follows a historic start to 2025 for Flair, who became the first woman to win the Royal Rumble match twice, securing a championship opportunity against Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania 41, where she was ultimately unsuccessful.
