Chavo Guerrero Returns to WWE on a Permanent Basis

A familiar face may be making a more permanent return to WWE, as Chavo Guerrero has reportedly told multiple sources he is officially back with the company.

The information comes from reports by Fightful Select and other wrestling news outlets, citing individuals who spoke with Guerrero during the recent WWE x AAA: Worlds Collide crossover event in June. While Guerrero was seen on camera during the show, his claims suggest a more formal capacity beyond a one-off appearance. As of now, WWE has not made an official announcement to confirm his employment.

Speculation points toward Guerrero taking on a backstage role, such as a producer for WWE RAW or SmackDown, or a coaching position at the WWE Performance Center. This aligns with his extensive experience, which includes not only a long in-ring career but also significant work as a wrestling coordinator for television series like “GLOW” and “Young Rock.” His return is also viewed within the strategic context of WWE’s expanding partnership with AAA, where Guerrero’s ties to both promotions hold considerable value.

Over the past year, Guerrero has remained a visible figure in professional wrestling, making appearances for TNA, GCW, and various independent promotions. He notably appeared on a live episode of TNA iMPACT! earlier in 2025 as part of the “First Class Penthouse” segment with AJ Francis and KC Navarro.

Despite the widespread reports and Guerrero’s own assertions, neither WWE nor Guerrero himself have released a public statement to confirm the nature of his return.
