CM Punk criticized the use of the term “moveset” during a backstage interview at Saturday Night’s Main Event, following Adam Page’s social media post about Logan Paul.
The comments came after Page wrote on social media: “I hope the next person to get half my moveset is at least nice.”
Speaking with Pete Rosenburg, Punk expressed his displeasure with the terminology. “Don’t say moveset. It’s nerdy, it’s garbage. It’s internet wrestling talk. If you say that, you’re an idiot. Especially if you’re a wrestler and say moveset. That tells me 100% you don’t know what you’re doing.”
The tension between both wrestlers dates back to their AEW World Championship rivalry. Page had referenced Punk’s personal issues with Colt Cabana during an unplanned promo segment, which led to Punk’s disapproval.
Punk later retaliated with an unauthorized promo directed at Page. This conflict contributed to backstage tensions at AEW, culminating in a physical altercation with The Elite members following All Out 2022.
