Following the show, Punk targeted Rollins on Instagram Stories by highlighting the Chicago Bears’ loss to the Vikings, knowing Rollins’ support for the team.

Former WWE writer Vince Russo, speaking on Legion of RAW, noted potential character development in the storyline. “First of all, we open with the CM Punk promo, really really taking shots at Rollins. The way he dresses, burying the music. I think this is clearly… they gonna try to turn [Rollins] heel,” Russo stated.
The rivalry stems from Punk’s return at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023, which initially sparked tension between the competitors before they pursued separate storylines.
