CM Punk opens up about current relationship with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins

CM Punk discusses his relationships with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins while confirming his return to Madison Square Garden for WWE's Holiday Tour.

CM Punk addressed his relationship with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins during his appearance at ComplexCon. The former WWE Champion discussed his history with both stars, particularly their time together during The Shield’s early days in WWE.

During a conversation with Peter Rosenberg, Punk reflected on his connection to The Shield’s formation and subsequent impact. He emphasized that his departure from WWE was a personal decision rather than related to any conflicts with his former colleagues.

“If you look back at when The Shield, they came here and made a whole ton of waves in a short amount of time. And my relationship with all those guys was pretty good. I just had to get the hell out of here for my own sanity. But yeah, absence makes the heart grow fonder. I think a lot of the questions you have like, oh, what is Punk’s relationship with Roman? What does Punk feel about Seth? I think all that stuff is gonna play out on television because that’s what I do,” Punk said.

CM Punk set to appear at Madison Square Garden in December

Building on the buzz surrounding CM Punk’s return to WWE, Madison Square Garden announced his participation in the WWE Live Holiday Tour on December 26, 2024.

This appearance marks Punk’s return to the iconic venue following his recent hiatus due to injuries sustained in his Hell in a Cell bout against Drew McIntyre.

This will be Punk’s second consecutive year competing at Madison Square Garden during WWE’s Holiday Tour. His initial matches after rejoining WWE occurred during the 2023 Holiday Tour at the same venue, though they were non-televised bouts.
