Controversial Former WWE Superstar Reveals Conditions for Return to the Company
Former WWE Superstar Ryback states fixing “serious wrongs” and The Rock’s involvement would be necessary for his potential return to the company after his 2016 departure.

Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently addressed the possibility of returning to WWE, eight years after his 2016 departure. The wrestler, who has been critical of WWE since leaving, outlined specific conditions that would need to be met for a comeback.
In a video posted to Instagram, Ryback expressed that despite his past criticisms, he has moved beyond his issues with the company now that Vince McMahon is no longer involved. He clarified that he feels satisfied with having secured the rights to his name, which he claimed WWE gave up trademarking in 2022 and finally released to him in 2023.
Now that Vince is gone, I am well, well moved on past the situation. I wish them all the best. I am doing great. I am at peace with everything on that, and I won what I needed to win. They’re doing good. I’m doing good, and life is good. I’ve got my health back. I’ve been blessed, very grateful for everything, for something like that to even remotely happen. Some serious wrongs need to be righted, and it would most, honestly take The Rock getting involved for something to get done.
While Ryback expressed contentment with his current situation and health, he made it clear that “serious wrongs” would need to be addressed before any return could happen. He specifically mentioned that The Rock’s involvement would likely be necessary to facilitate such a resolution.
The former Intercontinental Champion has previously claimed that his potential WWE return would be “the greatest return of all time.” However, the likelihood of such a comeback remains uncertain despite these recent comments.
