This year is crucial for WWE as the promotion’s flagship show, Monday Night RAW, will make a monumental shift to the global streaming juggernaut, Netflix. The premiere episode will air on January 6. Multiple legends are rumored to return in the coming months to be part of this grand journey. Following this, a controversial legend from the Stamford-based promotion is rumored to return to the business after nearly two years.
Hulk Hogan made his last appearance on WWE television in January 2023. According to a recent report by Fightful Select, the Hulkster has been in discussions about making some appearances in the promotion, although no dates are specified.
Recently, an image featuring the WWE ring mat for RAW’s season premiere on Netflix has gone viral, and it featured multiple brands on it. One of the logos on the mat was Hulk Hogan’s Real American Beer. Additionally, although Hogan was not advertised for the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event earlier this month in San Antonio, he was featured in the new commercial for the show. These clues support the recent report on the iconic’s potential appearance on television soon.
Major WWE legend is rumored to return on RAW on Netflix
Fans are just hours away from witnessing the historic season premiere of Monday Night RAW on Netflix. The Stamford-based promotion has been working tirelessly to craft a spectacular show to kick things off.
Four high-stakes matches have been announced for the event, from Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley’s final war to Roman Reigns’s first-ever singles match against Solo Sikoa for the Ula Fala and to be called the rightful Tribal Chief, and more.
There have been some rumors about the return of multiple stars on January 6. However, the most influential name in contention is The Rock. Many predict The Final Boss might come back during the Roman vs. Solo Sikoa Tribal Combat match and could reveal himself as the true mastermind behind the fall of The OG Bloodline.
Rocky will present the Golden Globe Awards this Sunday in Los Angeles, a 20-minute drive from the Intuit Dome, the venue where RAW on Netflix will be hosted the next day. However, this is still speculative at present. It remains to be seen if any major legend returns this week on the red brand; fans will have to stay tuned to find out.
