WWE Hall of Famer Cope (fka Edge) has provided an update on the status of a former AEW TNT Champion. The Rated-R Superstar delivered the update in a promo on Collision.
The former AEW champion in question is Darby Allin. He suffered a brutal backstage assault from The Death Riders a few weeks ago. The multi-time TNT Champion has not been on TV since the attack. Nevertheless, the former Edge opened up about Allin’s status amid his absence.
During a backstage interview on the latest episode of Collision, Cope was asked why he was targeting Jon Moxley and The Death Riders. The WWE Hall of Famer said he was aiming to avenge the group’s attack on his close friends such as Darby Allin and FTR. The Rated-R Superstar also provided an update on The Daredevil’s status, saying, “We don’t know when he’ll be back.”
The former Edge’s statement suggests that Allin’s immediate future is unclear following the assault. Cope was also confronted by his longtime rival, Chris Jericho. The two are set to collide in the main event of Collision in a trios match between Rated FTR and The Learning Tree.
The feud between Rated FTR and The Death Riders continues to take interesting turns. Meanwhile, only time will tell when Darby Allin will be back on TV after suffering a brutal attack.
