Corey Graves will not appear on the January 21 episode of NXT, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reports. The WWE announcer’s absence continues following the recent commentary changes across WWE programming.
WWE implemented commentary adjustments at the start of 2024, with Graves moving to NXT while Pat McAfee joined Michael Cole on Raw. After the January 13 episode of Raw, Graves posted messages on social media expressing dissatisfaction with his situation. He initially announced plans to address the matter on NXT but was later seen departing from Orlando. Graves has since deleted these social media posts and has not provided additional updates.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reports the situation involves genuine frustration, with no sources indicating this is part of any storyline. Sapp also notes Graves has two years remaining on his current WWE contract. Previous reports suggested Graves may have been attempting to prompt his release through his social media activity.
