Rhea Ripley suffered an injury before WWE RAW following a backstage attack by Nia Jax. The incident occurred minutes before the show, prompting WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce to call for immediate medical assistance.

Jax targeted Ripley’s previously injured shoulder during the assault, which had previously sidelined her for several months. The attack included Jax smashing Ripley’s head against a wall and gate before security personnel intervened to separate both competitors.

Pearce summoned medical staff to evaluate Ripley, who displayed visible signs of distress while nursing her shoulder and head injuries. WWE medical staff will assess her condition with updates pending regarding the extent of her injuries.

Jax is scheduled to face Bayley in a match on tonight’s RAW following the incident.

Two Competitors Confirmed For 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble

The 2025 WWE Women’s Royal Rumble match has confirmed its first two participants. Nia Jax declared her entry on the January 13 episode of RAW, followed by Bayley’s announcement on January 20.

The annual event takes place on Saturday, February 1.
