Wrestling veteran Disco Inferno drew parallels between CM Punk and Triple H’s in-ring characters, suggesting Punk could surpass The Game’s legacy during his current WWE run. The comparison emerged during a recent episode of Keepin’ It 100, where panelists analyzed both performers’ career trajectories.
While Triple H has transitioned to his role as Chief Content Officer after an illustrious in-ring career, Punk continues to perform actively, recently engaging in a notable storyline with Drew McIntyre. Konnan, another veteran on the show, acknowledged Triple H’s classic matches but highlighted Punk’s potential to exceed those achievements.
“Well, here’s the only thing I would say. I think you’ll probably agree with me. There is no holes in Triple H’s game, right?” Inferno stated. “I say the hole in Punk’s game is his physique. But he’s got all the other tools that Triple H had.”
Finn Balor’s title reign faces scrutiny ahead of championship match
The situation developed after Balor interfered in Damian Priest’s title match against Gunther at Survivor Series: WarGames. Balor’s subsequent attack on the champion during RAW led to Pearce granting him the title opportunity.
Balor and tag team partner JD McDonagh have shown limited involvement in defending their World Tag Team Championships while pursuing individual goals, prompting potential administrative intervention.
