DIY Reacts to Heel Turn on WWE SmackDown

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa secured their second WWE Tag Team Championship on Friday Night SmackDown at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The victory came after DIY replaced The Street Profits, who were unable to compete following a backstage attack.

The match against The Motor City Machine Guns reached its climax when Gargano struck Alex Shelley with a low blow while the referee was distracted. DIY then executed their “Meet in the Middle” finisher on Chris Sabin to claim the titles, marking their second reign as champions.

Following the victory, Gargano addressed the win on social media. “We told you… Whatever it takes. 2x WWE Tag Team Champions. ✌️ #DIY,” he wrote, acknowledging the team’s willingness to cross lines for success.

The championship match came together unexpectedly after The Street Profits were found incapacitated backstage, opening the door for DIY to step in as challengers.
