Drew McIntyre marked his return to competition with a victory over Sami Zayn at Saturday Night’s Main Event, while also taking aim at Marvel’s latest release. McIntyre posted on Instagram: “Unlike Kraven the Hunter I won’t absolutely suck,” alongside photos showcasing his supervillain persona.

The criticism comes as Kraven the Hunter struggles at the box office, earning $26 million worldwide against a $110-130 million budget. The film currently holds a 14% critics rating and 73% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

McIntyre’s SNME victory extends his undefeated streak against Zayn to 10-0 in televised singles matches since 2021. The match lasted just over 10 minutes, ending when McIntyre delivered a Claymore for the pin after luring Zayn back into the ring.

This bout marks McIntyre’s first in-ring appearance in 70 days, following his Hell in a Cell loss to CM Punk at Bad Blood. Since his return, McIntyre has targeted both Zayn and Jimmy Uso, citing their actions at Survivor Series WarGames as motivation.

McIntyre is scheduled to appear on the upcoming episode of SmackDown, continuing his program with The Bloodline.
