ECW Legend Announces Retirement Match During WrestleMania 41 Week

ECW legend Sabu will compete in his final match against Joey Janela at GCW’s Spring Break event in Las Vegas during WrestleMania week.

Game Changer Wrestling announced Sabu’s retirement match as part of their ‘Collective’ series of events in Las Vegas during WrestleMania 41 week. The match was set at The People Vs GCW event on January 19, following Joey Janela’s victory over Masato Tanaka.

Sabu appeared in the ring after the match, where Janela issued the challenge for what was announced as Sabu’s final match. The bout will take place at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9 on April 18.

Sabu’s last match occurred in July 2021 when he defeated Mr California at an Xtreme World Wrestling event. He appeared in AEW during May 2023 as the special enforcer for Chris Jericho and Adam Cole’s match at Double or Nothing.

The ECW legend previously expressed his desire for one final match in early 2024.

WWE Announces WrestleMania Week Schedule in Las Vegas

WWE president Nick Khan announced the second annual WWE World fan fest will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from April 17 to 21 during WrestleMania 41 week.

T-Mobile Arena will host SmackDown on April 18 and the post-WrestleMania RAW on April 19. WWE World features interactive exhibits and superstar appearances, with Khan noting specific attractions.
