“Elder abuse,” “This is horrible” – Fans savagely slam AEW after Jon Moxley’s Death Riders attack returning WWE Hall of Famers

Jon Moxley and The Death Riders attacked a couple of WWE Hall of Famers. Fans are not happy with the segment and they let their opinions know.

The Rock N’ Roll Express is one of the greatest tag teams of all time. They have wrestled for several promotions and won championships everywhere they went. The duo of Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson were still active in 2024 wrestling in June for ASW Bash in Beckley IV.

The Rock N’ Roll Express made a surprise appearance this week on Collision in a backstage segment with The Outrunners and FTR. Later on in the night, Rated FTR faced and defeated The Learning Tree. Following the match, the cameras cut to the backstage area where The Death Riders had tied up Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson. The Outrunners tried to help them but were ambushed by Moxley’s crew. By the time Rated FTR, ran to help the WWE Hall of Famers, The Death Riders had left the scene.

Fans did not enjoy what transpired backstage and they slammed AEW for putting together such a poorly produced segment. Check out some of the reactions below:

Adam Copeland pitches for a match against Jon Moxley

A couple of weeks ago, Jon Moxley and The Death Riders attacked FTR backstage. This prompted the former AEW World Tag Team Champions to state that they would return with an ally to confront Mox and his group. At AEW Worlds End, this ally was revealed to be The Rated R Superstar Adam Copeland

Following his return, Adam Copeland commentedon a potential match against Moxley during an interview with The Takedown on SI. Copeland seemed excited about the possibility of stepping into the ring against the AEW World Champion:

“I think this’ll be uglier in all the ways that I love. [Moxley] reminds me a little bit of Terry Funk. He’s got a little Roddy Piper to him. He’s got that throwback feel, but with a modern take. That to me is really exciting. I’d love to just get in there and just have it be a gnarly fight. A hard hitting heavyweight match between two dudes who are over 230 pounds and are just gonna take each other’s heads off. That sounds like a good night,” Copeland said. [H/T Fightful]

It will be interesting to see whether Adam Copeland will get his match against Jon Moxley.
