Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about Pete Dunne showing up on RAW this week. The star was in a singles match against R-Truth.
Dunne has been at odds with Truth for the past few weeks. The veteran wrestler has been addressing Dunne by his former name, Butch. This made the Bruiserweight furious and the two men decided to settle their differences in the ring. However, it did not go as planned for the former NXT UK Champion as Truth rolled him up for a quick win.
This week on Legion of RAW, Russo spoke about the match and exposed some major flaws. He pointed out that the 31-year-old star didn’t have the right look. The former WWE writer felt Pete Dunne needed to focus on his legs and build muscle.
“I swear to God. Pete ‘Chicken Legs’ Dunne. Can somebody tell that dude to work out his legs? When I as a 64-year-old man have stronger looking legs than Pete Dunne, can somebody please get him to press some weight with his legs, bro?” [From 12:30 onwards]
Dunne has always been booked in WWE as a formidable competitor inside the squared circle. However, this recent loss could prove to be a major blemish on his record.
It will be interesting to see how the former Brawling Brutes member comes back from this shocking loss next week.
