Damian Priest interfered in Finn Balor and JD McDonagh’s World Tag Team Championship match on RAW, leading to their defeat against The War Raiders. Following the loss, Balor shared a message about his championship aspirations.
Balor posted on X: “10 years. 1265 days. 11 title reigns. 35% of the time as champion. Trust the math. Trust Finn. I will be CHAMPION again.”
The rivalry between Balor and Priest intensified after The Demon’s interference at SummerSlam 2024 cost Priest the World Heavyweight Championship. Balor repeated this action at Survivor Series: WarGames, leading to Priest’s retaliation on RAW.
After the tag team match, Balor expressed frustration over Priest’s actions: “Priest, Priest. This is all your fault. It wasn’t supposed to be this way. I was supposed to have two belts, and now I’ve got none because of Priest!”
The ongoing conflict between the former Judgment Day members may culminate in a singles match at RAW’s Netflix debut on January 6.
